Yui gazed at the rising sun, her thoughts tangled. She now knew Evil God Nami's origins, but what could she do about it? No one could know what the other woman was thinking.

"Let's go to the Daimyo Castle in the Land of Hot Water." With a sigh, she changed the subject. She took out the map and marked their destination. "It isn't very far from this village."

Closing the map, she turned to Nai Hyuga and asked, "By my estimate, it'll only take about two days if we don't fly. Why don't we walk? We can enjoy the scenery of the Land of Hot Water along the way."

Nai Hyuga had no particular preference and replied simply, "All right."

Yui gathered up the books on the ground, then the two followed the map toward the Daimyo Castle in the Land of Hot Water.

They walked in companionable silence, taking in the green mountains and clear waters around them. Whenever they came across a natural hot spring, they stopped to splash around for a while. And so, two days later, they arrived at the Daimyo Castle.

Early morning...

The Daimyo Castle of the Land of Hot Water stood at the foot of a great mountain, surrounded by towering walls built from enormous stone blocks. Its imposing gate was guarded on either side by soldiers holding spears. Above it was a huge character meaning "hot water."

As they entered the Daimyo Castle, the soldiers on either side unexpectedly let them pass without stopping them.

Though puzzled, Yui did not dwell on it. Having one less hassle was a good thing, after all.
