Yui considered it for a moment, then nodded. "Sure. I can use my Byakugan to help you track the flow of the water. That should let us find it faster."
"Good."
Orochimaru formed hand seals and summoned two Shadow Clones, which leaped into the water. Yui activated her Byakugan and stood beside the hot spring, watching what happened below.
The direction and temperature of the flowing water were clearly visible through her Byakugan.
A layer of bluestone bricks covered the bottom of the hot spring. Yui thought they were probably part of the bathhouse's renovations. Within her Byakugan's field of vision, slightly warmer water seeped through the gaps beneath the bluestone bricks on the left.
Having found traces of the water flow, she pointed Orochimaru in the right direction.
Orochimaru's Shadow Clones followed her instructions, feeling around beneath the hot spring until they found the spot.
The Shadow Clones used Earth Release to coat their fists in rock, then hammered fiercely at the targeted bluestone bricks.
Bang, bang, bang.
Several dull thuds rang out amid rippling waves, and the bluestone bricks were quickly smashed to pieces.
Through her Byakugan, Yui saw a narrow crack less than two fingers wide. The hot spring water was seeping out from there.
Yui looked at Orochimaru in confusion. "Orochimaru, could the Ruin really be inside that tiny crack? Could we be looking in the wrong place?"
"Well..." Orochimaru cupped his chin, no longer entirely certain himself. His Shadow Clones had already dispersed, passing on what they had seen of the tiny crack beneath the hot spring.
No matter how he looked at it, it hardly seemed like a place that held a ruin.
He took the Scroll from Nai Hyuga and examined it carefully.
"No, it's right. The Ruin is beside the Hot Springs.
