Nai Hyuga's face darkened as she fixed Orochimaru with a hostile stare. "You actually dared to use us?"
Her anger flared. She swung the short sword in her hand at Orochimaru's neck.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Sensing her fierce killing intent, Orochimaru immediately stepped back. The sharp blade swept past an inch from his neck, nearly cutting it clean through.
He had not expected that reaction from Nai Hyuga and hurriedly explained, "I wasn't using you. I really did come here to find the Kusanagi Sword. I told Yui Hyuga back then that we might encounter danger along the way, and she agreed..."
