The sudden change left Yui bewildered. She examined the area carefully with her Byakugan, and the energy really did seem to have disappeared, vanishing without a trace.
Rather than putting Yui at ease, the energy's disappearance only made her more apprehensive.
What on earth was that energy? What surprised her even more was that the feeling of being watched seemed to have vanished along with it.

Before Yui could recover, a deafening roar suddenly exploded beside her ears, making her thoughts shudder. At the same time, the blast forced her Byakugan to deactivate, robbing her of her senses for an instant.
"Ugh! What's going on..." Yui covered her ears and struggled to steady herself. It took a while before her thoughts returned to normal.
"What's going on? Is that person hiding in the shadows finally going to make a move?"
Once her senses returned, the first thing Yui did was activate her Byakugan to detect any approaching danger. Yet her scan turned up nothing. Her surroundings remained empty, with nothing new appearing, and the Water Formation Wall before her had vanished at some point.
"Strange..." Her tightly knitted brows gradually relaxed. The blast had been so loud that she had been unable to tell which direction it came from.

Within her Byakugan's perception, something seemed to have appeared overhead, where that enormous mass of energy had gathered. Through her Byakugan, it looked like a palm-sized, round black shadow.
