Background / History

Meng Yiran inherits the Meng family’s Serpent Cane martial soul. With innate soul power of level seven and talent surpassing her father’s generation, she is groomed as the family’s successor by her grandparents, Dragon Duke Meng Shu and Snake Granny Chao Tianxiang 15.

She meets Chen Zhuo when he visits their estate in Balak Kingdom. Chao Tianxiang introduces him as a descendant of her benefactor, although her welcome is influenced by his Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils. Yiran is astonished to learn that he is only ten and already a level-thirty-one Soul Elder—three years younger than her but substantially further advanced 15.

Personality

Yiran initially answers Chen Zhuo’s invitation to train under him by deferring to her grandparents. After entering his care, she obeys him completely under the control of his Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils. Her devotion is therefore explicitly linked to supernatural influence, rather than presented solely as ordinary gratitude 16.

Intensive training makes her more disciplined and self-motivated: after the first year, she and Dugu Yan continue working hard without needing Chen Zhuo to push them. During the Thunder Dragon Nest expedition, Yiran remains cautious but composed, protects Ye Lingling, and looks toward Chen Zhuo with reliance and awe 17 25 26.
