My dear esteemed readers:
Yesterday, after I got home from work and opened the author dashboard, I saw that long string of monthly votes. My hand shook so hard I dropped my mooncake.
I was thinking, I didn't even ask for votes, did I? Why are you all forcing Mid-Autumn Festival gifts on me?
And you might not believe this, but on the 27th, the smart recommendation traffic bottomed out, and daily sales fell to a third of their peak. I was feeling pretty down, only to turn around and get a faceful of monthly votes from all you fine readers-I truly got to experience being the protagonist of a wish-fulfillment novel for once (so moved my face distorted.jpg).
What else could I possibly say? Would I even be human if I didn't update?? Here's my solemn pledge:
During the National Day holiday, a guaranteed three chapters a day!
If I'm in good form, I'll go wild with bonus chapters. Liver supplements and B vitamins are already on their way, and I've fucking uninstalled Steam too. Eight days off, and my keyboard will be my only comrade in arms!
Two horizontal strokes and one vertical make "do"! Two dots and a bit of strength make "get it done"!
-With respect, your deeply moved little flop of an author
Acknowledgments:
Silly Sir, Enzai6854, Braised Pork and Potatoes, The Red Army Will Win, TruFundKid (These fine readers have been with me since the book's launch. My deepest thanks! There must be others I've forgotten, and I offer each of you my deepest thanks too!)
Many readers cast a few votes at a time over multiple rounds. I know you're using monthly votes earned from subscribing to other books to support me, and I'm especially touched!
Special thanks to the esteemed "Reader20230105213120914"-64
