At Xu Changsheng's command, the Star Luo Empire's soldiers charged toward the Terror Claw Soul Tool Legion. This army belonged to the empire's newly established Marshal Character Battalion and was Huo Yuhao's private force.
Xu Changsheng had asked Huo Yuhao to step in and take control of the situation, but Huo Yuhao refused. Xu Changsheng kept wheedling and pestering him until Huo Yuhao finally lost patience and tossed him the Marshal Character Battalion's Tiger Tally.
The soldiers in Huo Yuhao's army were not particularly strong overall. In fact, they could even be called weak.
Even wearing the special armor Huo Yuhao had brought from the Swallowed Star World, their combat strength was not actually all that impressive.
Their defenses might have been high, but they could not deal much damage. That was the army's fundamental weakness.
However, with the contracted Devouring Beasts Huo Yuhao had prepared for them, they had finally become an invincible army.
These Devouring Beasts varied in strength. The weakest had as little as a hundred years of cultivation, while the strongest approached ten thousand years.
On the Douluo Continent, only those whose strength had truly reached the Soul King level or higher-
-would dare venture into a Soul Beast forest alone to hunt Soul Beasts with over a thousand years of cultivation.
That was because Soul Beasts were, on the whole, far stronger than Soul Masters.
Of course, for certain genius Soul Masters, that standard was not reliable at all.
Some geniuses with innate Soul Power above rank eight could defeat, or even kill, thousand-year Soul Beasts while still at the Soul Elder level.
But exceptions were exceptions, after all. Genius Soul Masters were still few and far between.
Generally speaking, Soul Beasts were far stronger than
