The moment the pillar of light shot into the clouds, the nearby Tree of Life stirred as well-countless threads of luminous green light drifted from its canopy, like lively vines, weaving around the golden pillar before finally forming an enormous light formation above the Worship Hall.
At the center of the light formation, a hazy yet majestic angel phantom slowly emerged. As its six wings unfurled, a sacred aura washed over all of Spirit City like a tide. Even the scent of grass and trees in the air grew richer, as though every breath drew in pure life force.
Within the light formation, an angel phantom slowly appeared, sacred and solemn, and even the scent of grass and trees in the air grew richer.
Everyone in Spirit City stopped what they were doing and looked up at the sky-the golden-green pillar stood like an undying lighthouse, illuminating the city in the morning light and bathing even its remotest alleys in a faint holy glow.
The commoners and Soul Masters who worshipped the Angel God set down their tools and put away their Soul Tools, kneeling toward the Worship Hall with their palms pressed together. Their eyes shone with devotion as prayers rose one after another:
"The Angel God has manifested!"
"Thank you for your protection, Angel God!"
Devout prayers rang out throughout Spirit City, while the pillar overhead gradually dissolved into a sky full of glowing motes, scattering through the city like fireflies.
These motes seemed to possess awareness, drifting toward the devout believers-those they touched instantly felt more at ease than ever before. Fatigue and pain quietly vanished, and even their soul power grew more active.
"This is the Angel God's blessing! All my old injuries have healed!"
An old man was so overcome that tears filled his eyes.
