Selene's booming voice cut through the curtain of rain over Lake Street as she pulled up outside the clinic amid an outrageously loud roar of the engine.

It was a heavily modified Ford Raptor super pickup. Its chassis had been raised nearly half a meter, and six huge off-road tires were caked with muddy water. Thick steel crash bars had been fitted to the front, and the roof even sported a row of blinding LED searchlights.
