Loki laughed as though he had just heard the greatest joke in the Nine Realms, nearly laughing himself to tears. He pointed at the little black notebook in Yang Ming's hand, his face full of haughty contempt.
"Punishment for three offenses? Emotional distress damages? Who do you think you are? Odin? Or Thanos?" Loki laughed so hard he could barely stand straight.
"A quack from Earth thinks he's qualified to negotiate with me? I am Asgard's new king! With a flick of my finger, I could rip out your soul and burn it like a lantern!"
Yang Ming adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, his expression utterly unruffled. He merely added another entry to his notebook. "Extremely insolent attitude and refusal to accept punishment. Adding a fifty-percent late fee. That makes fifteen pieces of uru ore."
"Are you out of your mind?" Loki looked at Yang Ming as though he were an idiot and snorted. "I can't be bothered to waste my time on inferior creatures like you. Your king is in a good mood today, so I'll spare your worthless life. As for Thor..."
Loki glanced at Thor, who was still dry-heaving nearby, his eyes vicious. "Let him keep wearing that maid uniform and serving as your dog! That's the finest gift I could ask for to celebrate my coronation!"
