Steve's old Harley motorcycle roared away and disappeared around the corner of 47th Street.
Yang Ming leaned back in his executive chair, picked up the bank card with no PIN between two fingers, and casually tossed it into a drawer.
"Boss, do you really think that old fossil can bring down S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Jessica finished the last bite of her apple and tossed the core straight into a trash can three meters away.
"Bring it down? Probably not. But he'll definitely make Nick Fury sleep with one eye open for the next few months." Yang Ming lifted his insulated mug.
Just as he finished speaking, the black landline on the desk rang.
Very few people knew this phone's number.
Yang Ming pressed the speakerphone button.
"Sir, Mr. Stark requests to speak with you," came JARVIS's steady electronic voice.
Then Tony Stark's unmistakable voice, brimming with arrogance and energy, burst through the clinic lobby.
"Doctor Yang, you can officially declare your 'deep detox therapy package' bankrupt. I suggest you branch out before your clinic goes under."
Yang Ming adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses. "Judging by how energetic you sound, President Stark, you've figured out what your father left behind?"
"Correction: I've surpassed him." The crisp clink of metal parts came from the other end.
"The old man only left a theoretical model. I, Tony Stark, built a Particle Accelerator with my own hands and synthesized a new element that didn't even exist on this planet."
"Now the thing in my chest puts out five times as much power as before. And it's completely nontoxic."
"Which proves that I, Tony Stark, have an IQ far higher than Howard Stark's!"
