"Bang!"
Yang Ming slammed the half-dead Ivan Vanko onto the Clinic lobby floor as though he were tossing out a sack of rotten pork.
"Boss, isn't your delivery service a little too rough? This Russian barely has a breath left. Throw him around again, and we'll have to waste money on medicine to save him." Jessica complained as she kicked off her heels and planted her bare feet on the cold floor.
"Save him? You're overthinking it." Yang Ming adjusted his Gold-Rimmed Glasses, walked over to the water dispenser, filled a cup, and drained it.
"This guy's tough as nails. He survived an Armament Haki strike to the chest. Consider that fall a round of CPR."
"Snap."
Yang Ming casually snapped his fingers.
A pink wooden door, jarringly out of place, appeared out of thin air in the middle of the Clinic lobby. Faint spatial ripples radiated from the edges of its frame.
Jessica's eyes lit up. She hurried over like a big dog that had spotted a bone.
"Jessica, haven't you always wanted to see what another universe looks like?" Yang Ming leaned against the doorframe and smiled at her.
"Last time, I left you behind to keep an eye on Thor and Loki. This time, you get a company-funded trip. Come along."
Jessica jumped straight up the moment she heard that, nearly punching a hole in the ceiling with her head.
"Holy shit! I can finally leave this rotten hellhole called Hell's Kitchen!" Jessica waved her arms in excitement, not even caring about the dust falling onto her head.
"Boss, you're finally being generous for once! Once we reach that new universe, I, Jessica Jones, will leave behind my own invincible legend! I'll make the gangs in that world piss themselves at the sound of my name!"
