The instant the orange Pumpkin Bomb struck Peter's mask, his Spider-Sense flared first.

"You've got to be kidding-"

He jerked backward.

The Pumpkin Bomb skimmed past his nose and struck the blast door at the end of the corridor.

Boom!

A fireball rolled across the floor, and the searing shock wave hurled Peter away. His back slammed into the glass wall, and webbing shot instinctively from his wrist, sticking to a steel beam overhead.

A second later, the entire glass wall shattered inward.

Shards rained into the corridor.

Peter swung up, kicking aside several shards flying straight at him. He had barely landed when a green blur charged out of the flames.

A metal glider skimmed along the floor, its thrusters spitting two jets of white-hot flame.

The man on the glider wore purple-and-green armor, with a tattered green cloak draped over his shoulders. His mask was hideous, its mouth stretched into a grin as he let out a shrill laugh.

"Spider-Man!"

Green Goblin raised his hand.

Three silver darts flew from his fingers.

Peter rolled to the right.

The darts brushed past his shoulder and embedded themselves in the wall behind him. Their metal casings suddenly split open, blue arcs flickering inside.

"Hold on!" Peter landed on one knee. "This welcome gift is way pricier than the last one. Where's Norman? Where did you hide him?"

Green Goblin tilted his head.

"Norman?"

"Yes, Norman Osborn." Peter stood, aiming his wrist at the glider. "I know you people are connected to Oscorp. You broke into his office, destroyed his laboratory, and where did you take Dr. Connors?"

Green Goblin suddenly laughed even louder.

"You're still so naive."

"That's not being naive," Peter said earnestly. "That's basic investigative procedure. Find the suspect, question the witnesses, then hand the evidence over to
