Peter stuck the same man back onto the bed for the third time.
The webbing had barely wrapped around his knees when red bone spikes extended from his elbows and sliced through the restraints. Peter had to move in and brace the man's chin to keep that row of teeth from sinking into his shoulder.
"Could you cooperate for once? I'm trying to save you!"
"He can't hear you right now."
Dozens of tendrils split off from Venom behind Gwen Stacy, twisting across one another to catch the lunging test subject. The bone spikes struck the shield and were snapped off one by one, while the man inside was held securely.
"Superhero savior complex. Hospitalization recommended."
Peter checked the man's breathing.
"Thanks. We can discuss hospitalization later."
Gwen Stacy pushed the last stretcher into the maintenance passage and handed it over to Thor and Shadow Veil. She didn't follow them.
Peter was still inside. She had to keep the exit clear for him.
Elsewhere, Yang Ming stopped in front of a wall.
His Observation Haki reached through dozens of meters of concrete and picked up several heartbeats. One had an irregular rhythm, pausing before hurriedly adding two more beats.
It matched the readings in Harry's report.
The security route meant passing through at least four doors. The injured couldn't wait, and he had no interest in taking a tour with Drake.
Yang Ming raised his hand, and a portal opened flush against the wall.
This time, the exit didn't lead to the Clinic. If anything followed him through, it would only end up at the Foundation.
He stepped across the threshold.
Harry was holding a pen, its tip hovering above the signature line. Drake stood beside the desk, with the Patent Transfer Agreement already tucked underneath.
