Micro-missiles trailed blazing white exhaust as they plowed crisscrossing seas of fire across the top of Stark Tower.
Steve knelt on one knee, bracing hard against the Vibranium Shield.
His bones grated with a piercing sound as immense kinetic force poured through the metal into his forearm.
Blood mixed with rainwater ran down his blue uniform, pooling red around his feet. The wound Barton had slashed into his outer thigh had torn completely open.

A fierce burning filled Steve's throat, and he coughed up bloody froth.

"Run another two steps on that leg and it'll be ruined. Stay still."
Yang Ming's voice came from behind him, cold and utterly flat.
His Observation Haki had already spread out, locking firmly onto the Mark Armor hovering in midair.

The air beside Steve exploded in a white shock wave. Green chakra steam shot skyward, and the violent gust instantly swept away every raindrop within five meters.
Yang Ming became a green afterimage, shooting straight into the air against the barrage of missiles.
"Warning... high-energy biological entity approaching. Velocity exceeding the sound barrier."
