A shout rang out from the end of the corridor.
The next second, Loki climbed out of a second-floor window.
His landing was a complete disaster. His skirt caught on the window latch, leaving him dangling upside down for half a second before he fell into the flower bed with a thud.
Dirt splattered all over his face.
Loki did not bother wiping it off. He scrambled up and charged toward the perimeter wall.
He had barely taken three steps when someone grabbed the back of his collar.
"Why are you running?"
Yang Ming stood behind him, his left arm still bandaged, but his right hand was as steady as an iron clamp.
Loki's feet left the ground, and he kicked twice in vain.
"Let me go! I have important things to do!"
