The Anywhere Door closed.
The Clinic fell quiet again.
Far away in Sokovia.
In the underground base's training ground, red energy crawled slowly along the floor.
Wanda raised her hand.
A training soldier had just raised his gun when its barrel twisted into a corkscrew.
Pietro swept past him.
The soldier did not even make out his figure. He only felt a lightness against his chest, and the magazine in his hands was gone.
When he looked down, Pietro was standing ten meters away, tossing the magazine to his sister.
Wanda caught it.
Red light wound around the magazine.
The metal casing split open in her palm. The bullets floated up one by one, then shot backward, embedding themselves in the wall.
Strucker stood behind the observation platform.
"Very good."
Wanda did not turn around.
"When are we going to New York?"
"Soon."
The screen lit up.
Three photographs appeared side by side.
Yang Ming.
Tony Stark.
Steve Rogers.
Pietro stared at Yang Ming's photograph.
"This doctor's strong too?"
Pietro pointed at the photograph on the screen.
The young man in it wore a white coat, with a pair of half-rimmed gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose and a thick stack of bills clutched in his hand.
Nothing about him looked like a combatant who belonged alongside Iron Man and Captain America.
Baron Strucker stepped onto the observation platform and lightly tapped the end of his cane against the metal floor.
"Tony Stark has his armor. Steve Rogers has his shield."
"What does he have, then?"
"He has a door whose coordinates can never be found, and a set of killing techniques even S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn't figured out."
Strucker pressed the controller on his wrist, enlarging Yang Ming's file.
It was densely packed with records of Hydra agents killed in action.
