Jessica turned and leaned over Yang Ming's desk again, sniffing hard.
"The stench of a vixen!" Jessica fanned the air with a look of disgust.
"Boss, don't let a woman like that fool you. Dressed up like that, she obviously isn't a proper legal adviser. Why did Stark Industries hire that temptress?"
"She isn't a legal adviser." Yang Ming picked up his pen and wrote a few words in the medical record. "She's with S.H.I.E.L.D."
"S.H.I.E.L.D.? What do they do? Sell shields?" Jessica looked completely baffled.
"A bunch of agents who like sticking their noses into other people's business." Yang Ming didn't look up. "After all that commotion in Los Angeles yesterday, it's only natural they'd have their eyes on me. That woman came to sound me out."
"An agent?" Jessica's eyes widened. "Like 007? So was she trying to seduce you just now?"
"She was."
"Did you fall for it?" Jessica planted both hands on the desk and stared hard at Yang Ming's face.
"I wrote her a medical certificate." Yang Ming tore out the page he had finished and handed it to Jessica. "Go turn on the air purifier, and spray some disinfectant while you're at it. Too much of that perfume can cause neurasthenia."
Jessica took the sheet of paper, which was covered in a long string of medical terminology. She pursed her lips and turned to switch on the air purifier.
"Boss, you really don't have a romantic bone in your body," Jessica muttered as she sprayed disinfectant. "She's a gorgeous woman, at least. But you looked at her no differently than you would a corpse."
"In a doctor's eyes, there are only two kinds of people. The healthy and the sick." Yang Ming stood and went over to the medicine cabinet to organize the drugs.
