"Dry yourself off so you don't catch a cold."
Qiao Hua handed Shen Zhen a dry towel.
Sitting on the sofa, Shen Zhen reached out to take it and said awkwardly, "Thank you."
She lowered her head and dried her hair. A puddle had formed around her feet, and water kept dripping from the hem of her dress.
Qiao Hua turned to Gu Wenze beside her and asked in confusion, "President Gu, why are you still here?"
Gu Wenze's gaze shifted between them. "You two know each other?"
In the three years they had been married, Gu Wenze had never known that Qiao Hua and Shen Zhen were friends. He had never seen them together, either.
Qiao Hua glossed over the details. "We fell out over something a while ago."
Gu Wenze pressed her. "What was it?"
Qiao Hua had no intention of telling him the truth. Otherwise, Gu Wenze would start thinking he was some irresistible catch. "Just some petty little issue between women," she said dismissively.
Gu Wenze felt sure Qiao Hua was hiding something from him, but since she refused to talk, he could only say stiffly, his face darkening, "Don't talk for too long."

When Qiao Hua finally broke free, her ears were burning. She glared at him irritably. "There's someone else here."
