The original owner's face could easily outshine many of the glamorous actresses on TV.

Chen Xingjian had thought Qiao Hua would be surprised and embarrassed to hear that. Her calm reaction caught him off guard.

Qiao Hua changed the subject. "The food's here. Let's eat."
When Qiao Hua didn't take the bait, Chen Xingjian seemed a little disappointed. He smiled faintly and eagerly served her some food.

A low, dangerous voice suddenly cut in from beside them. Qiao Hua turned to see Gu Wenze striding toward them, bristling with anger.
Qiao Hua's mouth fell open, and the chopsticks in her hand almost clattered onto the table.

While she was still distracted, Gu Wenze reached her. His tall figure cast a shadow over her, radiating an invisible pressure.
Qiao Hua swallowed. "What are you doing here?"
Anger churned in Gu Wenze's eyes, and even the temperature around them seemed to drop.
