After making all the arrangements, Qiao Hua went downstairs. Before leaving, she specifically told the nanny not to clean the master bedroom that day.

Although the nanny did not know why, she agreed.

The two women went shopping at a nearby mall. Gu Jinman seemed even more invested than Qiao Hua, pulling her from store to store to pick out gifts.

Qiao Hua gave Gu Jinman a searching look. "Why do I feel like you're being so attentive today?"

Although she had helped Gu Jinman last time, that hardly explained such a complete change in her attitude.

Gu Jinman looked a little awkward. "Am I?"

Qiao Hua nodded casually, calling her out. "Yes, and it's very obvious."

Gu Jinman bit her lip and finally admitted, "If I hadn't told Jiang Nan yesterday that I was coming to see you, she wouldn't have come to our house."

Qiao Hua found it amusing. She had not taken it to heart at all, yet Gu Jinman was more troubled by it than she was. "Jiang Nan was the one who hurt me, not you. What are you feeling guilty for?"

Gu Jinman stammered, "But if I hadn't told Jiang Nan I was here with you, and if I hadn't deliberately gone to the restroom to avoid her, she wouldn't have had the chance to frame you."

Qiao Hua said calmly, "She framed me before when you weren't around, didn't she? So it has nothing to do with you. Don't let it bother you."

Gu Jinman's eyes widened at that, and she raised her voice. "Jiang Nan has framed you before?"

Qiao Hua could not be bothered to speak ill of someone behind her back, so she brushed it off. "It's all in the past."
