Gu Chi was a little confused.
"I'm on duty tonight. I don't have much to do," Gu Chi said honestly. Besides... he didn't actually have to work the night shift. He had specifically requested it because An Ning was here.
"Oh." An Ning raised an eyebrow and gave a perfunctory reply. "I'll be going, then."
Gu Chi watched An Ning walk away, his brows drawing together slightly.
Had... what happened during the day been his imagination?
He had felt that An Ning treated him a little differently, so why had she gone back to being so cold that evening?
Just then, Gu Luosheng suddenly popped out.
"You like her?"
Gu Chi jumped. "Little sister, what are you doing here?"
"I... couldn't sleep, so I came out to have some fun. Thought I'd see if I could find any ghosts in the hospital at night and tease them a little." A smile played on Gu Luosheng's lips as she spoke leisurely.
Gu Chi's mouth twitched. That idea of his little sister's really was a little... out of the ordinary.
"Did you find any?" Gu Chi asked, playing along.
Gu Luosheng sighed. "I heard something scarier than ghosts. I'll have to give my ears a good wash later."
"Speaking of which... Third Brother, you like An Ning?" Gu Luosheng asked with great interest.
"You... know her?" Gu Chi asked suspiciously.
"More than that. She's my manager." Gu Luosheng's eyes darted as she began plotting.
Gu Chi: !!!
"Then you must know a lot about her. Little sister, tell your brother a bit, would you?" Gu Chi asked in delight.
Gu Luosheng put on a solemn expression. "When you put it that way... wouldn't I be selling out my friend? That wouldn't be right, not at all."
"How can you call it that?
