An Ning waved a hand and continued her story.
"An Xin and her mother stirred things up and deliberately framed me, saying I'd put something in Dad's tea. The worst part was, they had witnesses and evidence. The old man got angry and kicked me straight out." An Ning sounded irritated as she spoke.
Mostly, having something like this happen was just disgusting.
"Looks like those scheming little witches are at it again. That mother and daughter want to snatch the An Family's fortune." Gu Luosheng instantly saw through it.
An Ning nodded. "That's exactly what I think they're after."
"Then we definitely can't let them get away with it." Gu Luosheng's eyes darted around as she tried to come up with a plan for her best friend.
An Ning sighed. "I'm homeless now. Even if I wanted to do something, it would have to wait."
"True. But you've been a manager for so many years. Don't you have any money at all?"
Hearing that, An Ning felt another knife plunge into her already battered heart.
"What do you think?" An Ning shot back.
"Other managers are living it up with villas, bars, and male models. You haven't touched any of those." Gu Luosheng teased her with a smile.
Opportunities like this were rare.
Usually, An Ning was the one lecturing her on set.
An Ning's lips twitched. "Where did all my money go? Don't you have any idea?"
"Oh, right. I guess I wasn't doing so well before, and you were always cleaning up my messes." Gu Luosheng lowered her gaze, looking suitably chastened.
"At least you have enough of a conscience to remember I helped you." An Ning gave a little huff.
"Of course. I'm your best friend. I'll definitely help when it matters. How about this? Since
