"Gu Luosheng!" Taita's deafening roar rang out.
Gu Luosheng tugged at the corners of her mouth. "Zhizhi, go to class first. I'll contact you later."
Gu Luosheng had barely stood up when Shen Zhizhi stopped her. "Sister Sheng, can we add each other on WeChat?"
Gu Luosheng turned back and saw the anticipation on Shen Zhizhi's face. Her heart practically melted. How could she bear to turn down such an adorable girl?
"Of course." With that, they added each other as friends.
When Gu Luosheng saw Taita, his hands were planted on his hips. "Gu Luosheng, don't you owe me a reasonable explanation? We're here to film. What did you just run off to do?"
Gu Luosheng looked utterly innocent. "Flirt with a younger girl."
Taita: ???
Wait, my brain can't quite keep up.
"Are you... speaking human?" Taita actually stammered. He had expected Gu Luosheng to come up with an excuse, like going to the bathroom or something else... anything would have been acceptable.
But this???
"It came out of the organ known as my mouth, so it should be human speech," Gu Luosheng answered with absolute, matter-of-fact honesty.
Taita was exhausted.
"She was pretty cute, too," Gu Luosheng added, thinking back.
Taita pressed a hand to his forehead. "Sister Sheng, we're here to film."
"I know." Gu Luosheng nodded. "But isn't that how life works? You've got one main quest, but plenty of things happen in the side quests, too."
"But right now, you should be focusing on the main quest!" Taita tried to press on.
Gu Luosheng blinked. "If I were following my main quest, I wouldn't be here right now. Acting is just a side quest for me."
