There were quite a few people gathering herbs on the mountain, and they looked curiously at Gu Luosheng and her companions.
An older woman nearby struck up a conversation with Gu Luosheng.
"What brings you folks here?" the woman asked kindly.
Gu Luosheng smiled. "We heard there were plenty of medicinal herbs here, so we wanted to take some back."
The woman grew interested too. "I can tell you're not from around the foot of this mountain. Let me tell you, you have to be careful identifying the herbs here. Some aren't safe to eat. Take those pretty mushrooms, for instance. Eat those, and you'll start hallucinating."
Gu Luosheng looked amazed. She had never heard any of this before, so she was fascinated. "What else should we watch out for?"
The woman chuckled. "Oh, plenty. These, these, and those are all potent tonics, but don't eat too much, or you won't be able to handle it."
"Who won't be able to handle it?" Gu Luosheng blinked innocently.
The woman coughed. "Neither you nor that man of yours."
Gu Luosheng was slow to catch on.

Gu Luosheng's lips twitched. "I was just chatting with her."
"This young lady is such a delight. I really like her," the woman couldn't help adding.
