"Head southeast first. Go around the valley ahead," Louis murmured to himself as he read the intelligence appearing on the Daily Intelligence System.
Over the past few days, Louis had used the Intelligence System to steer them around several centers of intense fighting against the Insect Tide, allowing them to approach Frost Glaive City smoothly, with almost no losses.
The column quietly began moving.
There were no blaring horns or fluttering banners, only figures flowing like a black current through the snowy woods, avoiding the main insect horde and keeping their distance from the large Brood Hives as they slipped toward Frost Glaive City from the flank.
Fortunately, the Dragonblood Legion had already cleared the outskirts, drastically reducing the density of insect corpses.
As long as they stayed away from the Doom Brood Hive and the few large Brood Hives that remained, they would not draw a mass assault.
To keep his "opportunism" from looking too obvious, Louis still had his troops wipe out several groups of insect corpses and a Brood Hive along the way.
