Above the field hovered a steady orb of light, giving off light and heat almost indistinguishable from sunlight. Its warm rays bathed the little paddy-and beside it, more plots of the same size awaited clearing and planting.

Lolisa truly could not understand what kind of extraordinary magical item this was. Simply unfolding it produced an entire field, complete with canned seeds and fish fry.

It even had a sun! An actual sun!

The crops inside grew quickly, ripening almost once a day. Rice could be harvested daily, and plump, translucent grains had already filled half a storeroom!

To Half-Orcs, who made their living almost entirely through herding, this was all but impossible-what kind of priceless treasure could produce a harvest every day?

With food and such a safe environment, Lolisa had begun to look forward to the future. Perhaps they really could stand against the Church?
