The Giant Boulder was not particularly thick, and a single thrust pierced straight through it. Intent on showing off the power of his Lightsaber, Hu Xiaotian traced a circle through the rock, cutting out a hole a full three feet in diameter.
It was Qin Yutong's first time seeing a weapon of such power. Compared with Hu Xiaotian's Lightsaber, her dagger, which could slice through iron like mud, was mere child's play.
The two climbed through the hole one after the other and reached the other side. Hu Xiaotian retracted the blade of light. The crystal on the hilt flashed with increasing frequency. After a few more steps, his feet splashed into flowing water. He bent down and saw that the water flowed ahead and to the right.
"Following the water should lead us to an exit," he told Qin Yutong.
Qin Yutong nodded, her lovely eyes settling on the Lightsaber hilt in Hu Xiaotian's hand. "It looks like we're getting closer and closer to the outside," she said softly.
Ji Feihua stood quietly beside the stream. The surrounding mountains and river valleys had been dyed white by the swirling snow, and the light on his sword hilt flashed more and more frequently. He watched the stream, where wisps of vapor drifted above the water. Through the spreading mist, he finally saw two figures emerge from the stream one after the other. The one in front was powerfully built, while the one behind had a graceful figure, scales shimmering over her body like a mermaid's. She was wearing close-fitting armor.
Hu Xiaotian spotted Ji Feihua almost at the same instant. Their eyes met, and Hu Xiaotian gave a knowing smile. A faint smile touched Ji Feihua's lips. He neither spoke nor approached Hu Xiaotian, but turned and glided away.
