The Blood Knife Team was preparing to stab them in the back.
Little did they know, Qi Wu had already seen everything they were doing.
In the shadows at the southeastern corner of Lake Heart Island.
The Blood Knife Team had just found a concealed route and slipped ashore.
"Heh heh, nobody spotted us."
"We've got them now."
Scar grinned smugly, his expression vicious.
His grip on his blade tightened.
Just as he prepared to advance toward the altar.
The earth suddenly heaved!
Four incredibly thick earthen walls erupted from the ground, forming a solid cage.
They trapped every member of the Blood Knife Team inside just as they were sneaking forward to launch their ambush.
"What?"
"What's going on?"
"Where did these walls come from?"
Captain Scar's furious, startled roars and his teammates' panicked cries rang out from within the walls.
They had never expected anything like this. Their ambush plan fell apart in an instant!
"Fuck! Break it! Hurry up and break it!"
Scar roared in fury. Flashes of various attacks lit up inside the walls, accompanied by an unending barrage of impacts.
The earthen walls looked ordinary, but they were unusually tough and could clearly hold out for a while.
Despite attacking with all their strength, the Blood Knife Team only managed to leave a few cracks.
A petite figure rose behind the walls.
Qi Wu had already ordered Yellow Weasel to make preparations.
All she had been waiting for was the Blood Knife Team to land.
The Yellow Weasel beast-eared girl stood with her hands on her hips, looking haughtily down at the Blood Knife Team. Her fluffy tail curled up proudly and swayed gently.
"Hmph! You lowlifes dare scheme against Mr. Wu? You'll have to get through this great immortal first!"
"Do you think this great immortal's handiwork is that easy to break?"
"Stay in there until you die, you small fry~"
Her voice was clear and bright, yet carried an unquestionable authority. Her golden, slit-pupiled eyes brimmed with contempt.
She, Yellow Weasel, might not have been a decent Demon.
But the Blood Knife Team were scum who stabbed their lifesavers in the back.
Even as a Demon herself, she utterly despised them.
"Damn it, it's the Salvation Team's summon! They've spotted us!"
The moment one Blood Knife Team member saw Yellow Weasel appear, he realized Qi Wu had played them and cried out in despair.
Hearing that, Captain Scar nearly burst with rage inside the walls. His attacks grew even more frantic, but only left more shallow marks on the earth.
"You damned animal! Let us out! Once I get out, I'll skin you first and make you into a scarf!"
Scar roared as he hacked wildly.
Yellow Weasel curled her lip in disdain. She could not even be bothered to answer them, instead casting a worried glance toward the altar.
She could feel the terrifying energy fluctuations coming from there.
"Qi Wu told me to get out once I'd set up the walls."
"This great immortal had better not linger. Retreat is the wisest course."
Yellow Weasel ducked her head, gave the helplessly raging people inside the Earth Prison one last contemptuous look, and waved her little hand. Earth surged up to seal the top of the walls.
Then her petite figure blurred, as though merging with the shadows on the ground, and vanished completely a moment later.
Only the sturdy Earth Prison remained, along with the Blood Knife Team's desperate roars inside.
"Bastard! Come back!"
"Break this wall! Hurry!"
Inside the Earth Prison, Captain Scar's eyes bulged with fury as he led his teammates in a frenzied assault.
More and more cracks spread across the walls. They could feel that the thing trapping them was about to give way!
It dragged on for over ten minutes.
At last, they broke through the earthen walls and saw daylight again.
At the same time, they clearly sensed the terrifying energy fluctuations from the altar reaching their peak.
"Captain... are we still going ahead?"
Now that Qi Wu had discovered them, one teammate panted heavily, his face filled with uncertainty.
Scar's expression was frighteningly grim.
"Keep going!"
"Our intentions are exposed. It's kill or be killed now!"
"If we don't wipe them out, we're all finished once the bureau finds out what we did!"
But by then, they had no way back.
"Forget everything else! The wall's almost down! Get ready! Attack as soon as we get out! This is our last chance!"
Scar bellowed and charged toward the altar with his blade raised.
Knowing there was no retreat, the others followed with fierce shouts, staking everything on one final attempt!
Yet when they burst through the dust and saw the scene at the altar, all their murderous frenzy froze instantly, as though a bucket of ice water had been dumped over their heads!
Qi Wu stood with both hands behind his back.
He stood there utterly at ease, not even the hem of his clothes particularly disheveled.
In his hand, he idly toyed with the Full Moon Heart gem, which radiated soft moonlight.
Not far from him.
The goddess's phantom knelt on one knee, her form so faint that she was almost gone.
Clearly, Qi Wu had already defeated the Goddess of Night's phantom.
All that remained was the final blow.
Yet Qi Wu had deliberately kept her alive, as though waiting for the Blood Knife Team to arrive.
The Salvation Team's other two members, Jiang Qingyue and Gale, were nowhere to be seen.
Qi Wu had just fought a major battle, yet he looked as though he had merely warmed up.
He even had the leisure to look up at the Blood Knife Team charging toward him like rabid dogs, an ambiguous smile on his lips.
"Oh, finally dug your way out?"
His tone held a trace of mockery.
"Perfect. Now that the audience is all here, it's time for the curtain call."
Captain Scar's ominous foreboding instantly reached its peak!
"Qi Wu..."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
As though seeing straight through Scar's thoughts, Qi Wu spelled it out:
"You're wondering how I saw through your intentions, aren't you?"
Scar said nothing, his expression shifting subtly.
Qi Wu spoke with a chuckle, just like one of those villains who loved to ramble.
He lifted a finger and pointed toward his azure eyes.
"My eyes."
Scar stared fiercely into Qi Wu's eyes.
"That ocular ability of yours people keep talking about?"
Qi Wu laughed freely.
"That's right. These eyes of mine can see through anything~"
His laughter gradually faded.
Qi Wu offered his final explanation.
"Emotions and mental states directly affect the flow of spiritual power."
"When someone is nervous, afraid, or lying, the spiritual power inside them becomes chaotic, fluctuates, or leaks out uncontrollably."
"The Six Eyes can see those irregularities in spiritual power as clearly as flowing water."
Qi Wu tilted his head, wearing his trademark devil-may-care smile.
"When you lie, the spiritual power inside you churns around like boiling water~"
At Qi Wu's mocking words.
Veins instantly bulged on Scar's forehead.

"You little punk, you really got us!"
After being played by Qi Wu, fury boiled in Scar's chest.
"But those are just cheap tricks!"

He raised his arm, pointing his blood-red longsword straight at Qi Wu.

"Didn't you see him send both his teammates away?"
Qi Wu smiled and wagged a finger.
"I didn't send those two ahead so I could cover their escape."

"Right here, I'll wipe you out in one move, along with that weakened goddess's phantom."
Qi Wu's calm words filled Scar with a terrible sense of unease.
But he was already committed and had no choice but to follow through. All he could do was turn his fear into a frenzied roar:
"He's bluffing! He must be on his last legs! Don't let him fool you! All together! Kill him!"
Qi Wu watched the Blood Knife Team charge at him, then glanced at the goddess's phantom. She was about to dissipate, yet still gave off a faint ripple of divinity.
He slowly raised his hand and spread his fingers, as though he meant to encompass heaven and earth.
His gaze grew hollow and fathomlessly deep, as though it held the endless stars of the universe.
"Small fry... return to 'nothingness' together."
His low voice rang out like a final judgment.
"Domain Expansion-"
"Unlimited Void."
Hummm...
An indescribable sense of stagnation instantly swept across all of Lake Heart Island!
This was a Domain Expansion that covered all of Lake Heart Island...
The entire island was dragged into Unlimited Void...!
