Did I Say You Could Leave?

Just as Qi Wu gave the order to prepare for battle.

The Hellhound launched an attack on the northern section of the defensive line the moment it arrived.

Clearly, it was worried about human reinforcements arriving, too.

It was desperate to break through the line quickly.

"Roar!"

With a mighty roar, the Hellhound charged toward the northern defenses, its enormous body hurtling forward like a meteor.

"Shit! What is that monster?!"

The commander in charge of the northern defenses cried out in terror as he saw the Hellhound bearing down on them.

His voice immediately rang out over the comms, hoarse with a trace of despair.

"Intercept it with heavy fire! Now! Stop it at all costs!"

The heavy machine guns along the northern line spat furious tongues of flame, while rockets screamed through the air, trailing white smoke.

But against that mountain-sized body, it was all futile.

Bullets bounced off, and the flames from exploding rockets could only briefly engulf a small part of its body. They did nothing to stop its charge!

The monstrous beast was about to slam into the flimsy barbed wire and sandbag fortifications.

If it broke through, the entire defensive line would collapse like a breached dam, instantly swallowed by the beast tide behind it!

In that instant, a man in a leather jacket and sunglasses flashed into view between the beast's three heads. Spiritual Power with a brassy sheen coated his arms as he drove both fists forward.

"Iron Bone!"

With that low shout, his powerful fists slammed into the Hellhound's middle head.

Boom!

A shock wave rippled outward, and the clang of metal rang across the ground.

The Hellhound staggered back several steps, its charge abruptly halted.

Seeing him strike, everyone defending the line felt their morale surge!

"It's Iron Buddha from the Pagoda squad!"

"Thank god! An eighth-rank fighter is stepping in! We're saved!!"

After landing his blow, Iron Buddha dropped to the ground. Standing with his back to the defensive line and his hands clasped behind him, he kept his gaze beneath his sunglasses fixed on the Hellhound.

He looked composed, but the recoil from that Iron Bone strike had left his arms tingling even now, his blood still churning.

The monster's bones were harder than he could have imagined!

This Demon is no ordinary creature...

A sense of danger rapidly rose within Iron Buddha.

"Roar!!"

The Hellhound shook its middle head. The spot he had struck was merely smoking!

The savagery in its six molten eyes intensified. The humiliation of being driven back by an ant sent it into a complete frenzy!

Its left and right heads abruptly opened their enormous jaws.

The left spewed a torrent of dark red flames, while the right unleashed a wide blast of corrosive, shadowy breath.

The two destructive blasts swept toward Iron Buddha and the defensive line behind him!

"Shit, it's getting serious!"

Iron Buddha's expression changed drastically. He could withstand physical impacts head-on.

But these wide-ranging elemental blasts were difficult for him to block, and he could not let them hit the defenses!

"Vajra Barrier!"

He roared, pressed his palms together, then thrust them both forward.

A shield of Spiritual Power gleaming with a metallic luster formed in an instant.

But both blasts crashed down on it together.

The entire Spiritual Power shield began shaking violently.

Before long, its glow started to dim.

Veins bulged on Iron Buddha's forehead as he frantically channeled his ability to reinforce the shield, but he clearly could not hold out much longer!

The hope that had just risen among the soldiers was instantly extinguished by cold despair!

"Can't even Iron Buddha stop this monster?!"

At that critical moment-

"Hey, big guy."

A lazy voice suddenly sounded from behind.

"Did I say you could leave?"

The next instant, Qi Wu appeared behind the Hellhound like a ghost.

He casually raised his right hand and spread his fingers.

"Blue!"

A blue Gravity Sphere condensed in his palm. Infused with Spiritual Power, it quickly grew to the size of a house.

A powerful, invisible gravitational pull instantly seized the Hellhound's enormous body!

The Hellhound stiffened midstream as it spewed destructive energy, as though a massive invisible hand had grabbed it tightly from behind!

The immense gravitational force not only cut off its attack but also dragged at its mountain-sized body.

It slid backward uncontrollably, its four enormous claws plowing deep furrows in the ground.

"Rooar?!"

All three heads roared in shock and fury.

Looking back, it saw a silver-haired human behind it, continuously releasing a gravitational pull from a blue energy sphere and dragging it backward.

It struggled desperately to resist the sudden, terrifying pull, but it was like being trapped in a swamp. The more it struggled, the tighter the invisible restraints seemed to become!

The pressure on Iron Buddha abruptly eased.

His eyes narrowed slightly beneath his sunglasses as he watched the blue energy sphere appear and the enormous beast get dragged back by force.

He spotted Qi Wu behind the beast.

"That rookie?!"

Iron Buddha looked somewhat startled.

Qi Wu held one hand in a loose grasp, controlling the enormous blue Gravity Sphere, his expression as languid as ever.

He even casually waved his other hand toward Iron Buddha in greeting.

While Iron Buddha remained relatively composed at the sight of Qi Wu.

The soldiers along the defensive line were already dumbstruck.

"What... what kind of power is that...?"

"Are the reinforcements from the 749 Bureau here?"

"My god... he just dragged that monster... right back?!"

The Hellhound was held fast by the power of Blue.

Its enormous body was dragged steadily backward.

As it was pulled farther and farther from the defenses, the Hellhound struggled with increasing frenzy.

Its right head whipped around and fixed its gaze on Qi Wu, its eyes filled with savagery and rage.

This human dared to ruin its plans!!

Looking at the fury in those molten eyes, Qi Wu's lips curved into a cold smile.

"Don't you love running?"

"Go on, run now!"

His loosely grasping hand clenched sharply!

Blue's gravitational pull instantly surged to a terrifying level!

The Hellhound let out a roar of pain and fury as that overwhelming force dragged its enormous body backward.

Yet under the crushing pressure of that overwhelming power, the Hellhound's ferocity as a divine servant was fully unleashed!

All three heads tilted toward the sky and let out deafening roars. The dark red markings across its body suddenly lit up like red-hot branding irons!

A force far more violent than before erupted from within it!

That sudden eruption forcibly broke through the power of Blue restraining it.

The Hellhound broke free of its restraints! But it paid a tremendous price.

Its savage aura weakened considerably.

It stared fixedly at Qi Wu and opened all three enormous mouths at once.

It was going to unleash three kinds of breath simultaneously!

"Watch out! It's going all out!"

Iron Buddha shouted urgently.

Qi Wu watched the breath attacks gathering all of the Hellhound's power.

There was no fear in his blue eyes. Instead, they lit up with even greater interest.

"You two have watched long enough!"

"Make your move!!"

He shouted excitedly.

In a flash, a figure shot out from behind Qi Wu at incredible speed.
