Raging flames burned across the sky and earth, their glow turning everything a fiery red.
Ning Xiang held Zhu Yu, trying to examine his injuries, but Zhu Yu covered her eyes with one hand and gripped her wrist with the other.
Even so, Ning Xiang felt the wetness soaking her palm.
Around them, pinpricks of blood-red firefly light appeared.

"Do you think I won't be able to find her just because you've teleported her away?"
Zhu Yu smiled instead. Blood kept pouring from his chest and shoulder, yet he showed not the slightest trace of disarray, nor any hint of pain.
"Rather than hunt her down, I suspect you'd prefer to get your hands on the Fire-Illuminating Pearl and the Water-Reflecting Pearl, wouldn't you?"
