The next day.
At seven in the morning, Chef Liu entered the kitchen with the ingredients right on schedule, only to get a fright the moment he stepped inside.
"Second Young Master, wh-what are you doing here?"
Ji Ting picked up his tablet and typed: [Making breakfast for Ji Yanzhi.]
"Huh?" Old Liu was rather bewildered. "I've always been the one who makes the eldest young master's breakfast."
Ji Ting nodded, but he couldn't explain it clearly just then, so he simply asked: [Chef Liu, could you teach me how to make almond waffles and baked eggs?]
Another hour passed, and Ji Yanzhi came downstairs.
"Where's Ji Ting?"
He hadn't seen him since waking up, and displeasure stirred in Ji Yanzhi's chest. Was he really treating him like a sleeping pill?
The butler stepped forward and replied, "The Second Young Master got up early this morning. After making your breakfast, he went off to play games."
Ji Yanzhi paused, recalling what had happened before bed, then knitted his brows again.
What a stubborn fool. Making breakfast was one thing, but why get up so early?
He sat down at the dining table with a cold expression and only asked after picking up his fork, "Has he eaten breakfast?"
"He has." The butler smiled. "Old Liu told me the Second Young Master made several waffles and ate all the failed ones himself."
Ji Yanzhi lowered his gaze to the waffle on his plate. Its surface was a little dark, but its shape looked quite proper.
It would do. Just barely edible.
After breakfast, Ji Yanzhi prepared to leave for the office. Before leaving, he instructed the butler to let Ji Ting play games if he wanted and not allow anyone to disturb him.
Not long after he left, Xu Ren arrived.
