Ji Ting did not understand why his expression had suddenly darkened. He blinked. "Because I have a good memory. Not just for things about him. I remember other things, too."
Ji Yanzhi gave a cold snort, looking thoroughly displeased. "Then when's my birthday?"
"January 23."
"What do I like to eat?"
"Vegetables, especially crunchy ones."
Until Ji Ting said it, Ji Yanzhi had never noticed it himself. Thinking back carefully, he realized that his favorite foods really were crisp, tender vegetables.
Ji Yanzhi cleared his throat with exaggerated solemnity, the corners of his mouth no longer quite so tense. "Then what are my hobbies?"
"Your hobbies..." This question seemed to stump Ji Ting. After a pause, he said, "Does insulting people count?"
Ji Yanzhi choked. "Insulting people is a hobby?"
"It's a flaw, not a hobby, but it isn't a particularly terrible flaw, so there's no harm in treating it as a hobby," Ji Ting said bluntly.
"So Lu Yanchu is perfect, then? He doesn't have any flaws?"
Confusion flickered in Ji Ting's eyes. How did we get back to Lu Yanchu again?
Because you had to bring up that flashy peacock, Ji Yanzhi thought irritably.
Ji Ting considered his question for a moment before answering, "As far as I'm concerned, he has no flaws."
Ji Yanzhi's expression instantly darkened. Fortunately, Ji Ting had more to say. "Because I don't know Lu Yanchu at all, so I can't judge him."
Ji Yanzhi's mood swung through a full 360 degrees like a pendulum ride. A burst of fury had barely surged up before it was forcibly shoved back down, nearly bursting his chest apart.
Watching his expression, Ji Ting asked, "Can we stop talking about Lu Yanchu and get back to the point?"
Ji Yanzhi gave an awkward snort. "Suit yourself."
