Ji Yanzhi read the two lines on the screen over and over. As he stared at them, he couldn't help letting out a laugh.
He felt as though he had gained an army in an instant.
He took a deep breath, and the gloom left by his phone call with Ji Zhenting vanished, leaving nothing but clear skies.
After replying to the message, Ji Ting opened the chip system and held a meeting with everyone that lasted only a few minutes.
In short, their progress was too slow. From now on, they would need to increase the precision of their research and begin simulated assembly of the miniature lithography machine before the end of the month.
After a brief moment of stunned silence, everyone immediately turned back to their work.
Once the meeting was over, Ji Ting went to find Director Chang.
"Shili's chairman will be coming to tour the Laboratory shortly."
It took Director Chang a moment to place the title. "The chairman... you mean your and President Ji's grandfather?"
"He's not my grandfather." Ji Ting's tone was not only cold but blunt. "He once tried to make me take the fall for him. He's treated me very badly."
That told Director Chang everything he needed to know. Grinding his back teeth, he said, "Little Ji, go get on with your work. I'll handle things here!"
"Sorry for the trouble."
After meeting Ji Zhenting, Ji Yanzhi had intended to head straight to the Laboratory, but Ji Zhenting said there was no hurry.
He motioned for his secretary to put the insulated food container on the table and open the lid.
"The kitchen just made this plum blossom vegetable platter. Eat it while it's hot."
"Grandfather, I've already had dinner."
Ji Zhenting looked at him as though assessing something. "It's
