The two of them had planned to spend a few more days at the hot spring resort, but when Ji Ting woke the next morning, he saw Ji Yanzhi standing in the courtyard outside, talking on the phone.
It was quite a while before he came back inside.
Seeing that Ji Ting was already awake, Ji Yanzhi sat down beside the bed. "Ji Ear, we might have to head back."
"What happened?"
"The Board of Directors unanimously approved the proposal. The shareholders' meeting is the day after tomorrow."
Ji Ting nodded in understanding. "Then let's head back now."
Ji Yanzhi squeezed his hand apologetically. "I'm sorry, Ji Ear. This trip was far too short."
A faint smile curved Ji Ting's lips. "It's all right. I had a really good time. Next time, we can stay a few days longer."
"Yes. We definitely will."
They drove back to the Old Residence. Ji Yanzhi had to meet with several directors, so he changed his clothes and prepared to go out again.
Just as he was about to leave, Ji Ting suddenly said, "Ji Yanzhi, can I go with you to the shareholders' meeting the day after tomorrow?"
Ji Yanzhi was quite surprised. He paused. "You want to go?"
Ji Ting pressed his lips together slightly. "The original Ji Ting held a small number of shares. They aren't mine, but I should still be allowed to sit in, right?"
