"So, will you agree?" Ji Yanzhi coaxed him gently, keeping his voice soft, as though afraid of startling his prey.
Seeing how expectant he looked, Ji Ting nodded. "All right."
A gleam of triumph flashed in Ji Yanzhi's eyes. He leaned over and kissed the corner of his mouth. "Then it's settled."

Ji Yanzhi had originally planned to catch up on sleep after eating, but that freshly minted "must-do list" kept churning through his mind. The more he thought about it, the more excited he became, until his groggy drowsiness was swept away completely, leaving only the alertness and anticipation of a hunter before the chase.
When Ji Ting returned from brushing his teeth, he found Ji Yanzhi lying on his side in bed, propped on an elbow with his head resting in his hand, waiting for him.
"Ji Ear, come here." Ji Yanzhi patted the spot beside him.
Ji Ting obediently climbed into bed and slipped under the covers. "Aren't you sleepy?"
"Not right now." Ji Yanzhi inched closer, his voice taking on the eager, mysterious tone of someone sharing a secret. "Did you know? Shen Mu Lan and Team Leader Sun are together."
Ji Ting blinked, unsurprised by the outcome. "They were always well suited to each other."
"That's not the point." Ji Yanzhi smiled mysteriously. "Guess where Team Leader Sun confessed to Shen Mu Lan."
Ji Ting considered it seriously. After a few seconds, he said, "At the summit of Mount Tai, just before sunrise?"
Ji Yanzhi said, "...That does sound nice, but why the summit of Mount Tai?"
"Because Mount Tai was all I could think of."
