Ji Ting remained utterly oblivious to the frozen, awkward atmosphere among the three men and simply instructed them, "Start writing. I'm going to the second floor to get some analysis modules."
After he left, the dead silence in the laboratory seemed to thicken another layer.
Ji Yanzhi was the first to recover. He stared at the form for a few seconds, then raised his eyebrows with sudden indifference. Ji Ear knew all his embarrassing stories anyway, and making a fool of himself was practically routine. What did a few old incidents matter?
Once he had worked that out, he grabbed his pen and began scribbling. Seeing this, Lu Yanchu resigned himself to picking up his own pen and started filling out the first item.
Qin Zaiye's expression was thunderous, but in the end, still radiating menace, he reluctantly put pen to paper.
For a while, the only sounds in the laboratory were the halting scratches of their pens as the three men frowned in concentration, struggled to remember, and occasionally got stuck on some uncertain detail.
More than half an hour later, Ji Ting returned with several silver-gray precision modules in his hands. Even Ji Yanzhi, the fastest writer, had only just finished the last item.
"Ji Ear," Ji Yanzhi said, looking up and pointing to several places on the form. "I really can't remember some of these details. Will that affect your analysis?"
Ji Ting walked straight to the console and answered without looking back, "It won't."
Ji Yanzhi froze. Even Lu Yanchu and Qin Zaiye stopped writing. He had made them go to all this trouble remembering, only to say it wouldn't matter?
Ji Ting did not explain immediately. He first inserted the analysis modules into their slots, and with a faint hum, new streams of data lit
