Ji Yanzhi shot him a glare, not bothering to answer his idiotic question.
Ji Ting sat down and was about to pick up his spoon when Ji Yanzhi said coldly, "Go wash your hands."
"Oh."
Shen Mu Lan smiled and pointed. "The restroom's over there."
Once Ji Ting had left, he came out from behind the counter and leaned against it. "Hey, I'm serious. You two have different mothers, but you've got the same dad. How come you don't look anything alike?"
Shen Mu Lan and Ji Yanzhi had been classmates while studying in Britain. Their personalities were polar opposites, yet they had become close friends who could talk about anything.
Shen Mu Lan knew most of what went on in the Ji Family, which was why seeing Ji Yanzhi bring Ji Ting here today had shocked him so much.
"He looks like Lin Qing," Ji Yanzhi said flatly.
"Oh, I see." Shen Mu Lan looked thoughtful and smacked his lips. "From what I've seen today, he seems like a pretty good kid. Doesn't really strike me as a spoiled brat."
Ji Yanzhi could only remain silent on that subject. After all, he was still in the process of getting to know Ji Ting all over again.
Fortunately, Ji Ting soon returned after washing his hands, and the two finally started eating.
The curry rice had cooled a little while sitting there and was now just the right temperature to eat.
Ji Ting tried a bite of the pork cutlet first. Once he had swallowed, Shen Mu Lan asked eagerly, "Well? Is it good?"
He nodded. The flavor wasn't exactly stunning, but it was mild and pleasant. It really was good.
Ji Yanzhi looked up in annoyance. "Go do whatever you need to do. Stop hovering here asking questions."
