I first had the idea for this book around June of last year.
My main reason for starting it was to try something different, and judging by the results, it turned out to be my most successful book yet.
At the very beginning, after writing the first few chapters, I didn't even dare submit it directly to an editor. The subject was just too niche, and very few people really knew this industry. In the end, reaching an average of 1,100 subscriptions per chapter truly exceeded my expectations.
Back then, I'd thought that if I could average 500 subscriptions, I could qualify for the guaranteed minimum of 1,000 later on.
Thank you to the editor who signed this book back then. Although he later left his job, I'm still very grateful to him.
Of course.
Most of all, I'm grateful for everyone's support. Without all of you, this book would never have reached this length.
At 1.3 million Chinese characters, this was also the longest book I'd ever written.
After finishing this book, I realized there were plenty of problems, too. I was still sorely lacking in experience. This was my first time tackling a subject like this, and there were a lot of issues in the early parts.
Later on, the same problem of things becoming too repetitive also cropped up.
I thought of plenty of ways to address that, but all I could do was keep adding new things. Still, it felt like the results were always the same, and everyone seemed less enthusiastic about reading than they had been at the start.
I suppose that's one of the problems with this type of story.
This book began with Gold Ship, and it ended with Gold Ship, too.
Thank you all for keeping me company over this past
