When you were riding high in a dream, certain of victory, smugly convinced that everything was under your control...
But then someone suddenly ran up, slapped you across the face, and told you that you were nothing-well, that was clearly a nightmare.
Naturally, the same was true for Creed.
"What is this!?"
The enormous, terrifying beast before him sent a chill through Creed's entire body. Ever since that day, he had spent every night trapped in nightmares. He had thought himself a seasoned veteran who had seen it all, someone no nightmare could defeat.
And yet this beast, seemingly from some primordial age, charged out of the darkness and mercilessly tore apart everything he had.
"Graaah-!"
Even the Night Demons were no bigger than bats before this terrifying giant. They flapped their wings, screeching as they lunged at the beast. It answered with a deep, soul-shaking growl, opening its jaws to crush and tear apart the attacking Night Demons, mouthful after mouthful, while swinging its tail to swat away the "flies" hovering nearby.
But that was not the end.
With a shrill whistle, several Velociraptors shot out like arrows loosed from a bow. They darted through the chaotic swarm of Night Demons, opening their jaws as they pounced on Creed, who was hiding behind them.
"Get away, you monsters!"
Creed's face filled with sheer terror at the sight of the charging Velociraptors. Well, that was perfectly normal. These little cuties always got the same reaction from movie audiences. Creed's reaction was noticeably more dramatic, though-there was no screen separating him from these Velociraptors, after all.
He stumbled backward in panic and drew a gun from his waist, but the next instant, a Velociraptor opened its jaws and clamped down on his wrist.
