From outside, Tester's House seemed perfectly quiet. But soon, police sirens shattered the street's peace, and people watched in surprise as one police car after another raced up and surrounded the house. No one knew what had happened. Many curious residents came out of their homes and gathered together, watching the officers hurry back and forth nearby and speculating about what was going on.
Among the crowd, a young man in a flat cap was also watching. A cold sneer flashed in his eyes as he watched the police enter Tester's House. Then he turned and left the crowd, headed to a subway station on the other side, and took the train to a street in southern Bisbalu.
The area was full of abandoned factories awaiting demolition, with no one in sight. The young man glanced around, then approached a warehouse and knocked on the door. A viewing hatch opened, revealing a pair of cold eyes. After carefully inspecting the young man, the person inside opened the door and let him in.
"How are things?"
"They called the police after all. The officers are already there."
The young man spoke quietly, then glanced around.
"What about the old man? Has he talked?"
"The boss is questioning him, but he hasn't made much progress. The old man insists he doesn't know anything."
The man who had opened the door gave a cold snort as he answered.
"Are we sure the old man has that signature? We turned that house upside down and found nothing."
The young man in the flat cap seemed extremely agitated.
"If we've made a mistake..."
"The boss doesn't make mistakes."
The other man interrupted him.
"We've already confirmed it. That fellow spent the longest time in the target's room, and he came to see this old man
