Humming a tune, Katie walked toward the Clock Tower with her usual spring in her step.
That trip to Prison Island had been great fun. Her only complaint was that she hadn't fought the huge monster lurking in the darkness alongside Li Wei. She had only taken on a little one.
Come to think of it, who was that lady, anyway?
Thinking of Prison Island inevitably reminded Katie of the mysterious lady she and Li Wei had met in the cemetery. After everything was over, they had returned to the cemetery before leaving the island, but they hadn't found anything.
Maybe that mysterious lady was the soul of the original Mr. Jim Rogers's wife?
Unfortunately, that remained an unsolved mystery, too.
Next time, I'm definitely sticking with Mr. Li Wei!
At that thought, Katie clenched her little fists. She had gone to see the sea monster specimen on display in the Shuo Academy museum, and it was enormous!
It would be so much fun to fight it!
According to the short, stout detective, the monster that had confronted Mr. Li Wei beneath Prison Island had been a giant, too-three or four meters tall!
Unfortunately, she hadn't even run into it.
Oh, right!
At that thought, Katie suddenly clapped her hands.
I remember reading in the newspaper that Miss Baskerville, the lord of Delicate, could command a huge three-headed demonic hound back in Steel City, couldn't she?
The newspaper had also said that she and Mr. Li Wei had stopped an attempt to sabotage Steel City's Central Data Tower.
I wonder if Mr. Li Wei could invite her over so I could meet that Three-Headed Hound?
It would be even better if I could fight it!
