To the people of the White Oak Street neighborhood, Li Wei's tower was quite famous.
Before that, it had simply been an abandoned Clock Tower, and the people nearby had paid it little attention.
But a mountain need not be tall to be famed if an immortal lived there, nor a pool deep to be enchanted if it housed a dragon.
Once Li Wei became famous, the tower naturally drew everyone's attention.
Li Wei was not some reclusive mad scientist out of a science fiction novel. Apart from when a case kept him run off his feet, he would take walks in the nearby park, eat at the neighboring restaurants, or pass the time in a café. As a result, the people around him knew him quite well.
A handsome, charming young detective, courteous to everyone-and exceptionally talented.
Not to mention that Her Majesty the Queen had knighted him, adding yet another distinction to his name. Of course, Li Wei's life had hardly changed. In his spare time, he still went out for walks, spent some time at nearby restaurants, and wandered through the park.
Most people still did not dare enter the tower, though. While Li Wei did not turn visitors away, they generally felt that troubling a Thistle Knight with their petty little problems would be terribly rude.
So when the neighbors saw a well-dressed man standing outside the tower, hesitating, they found nothing surprising about it.
