Leaving the bridge, the group returned to the deck. Li Wei looked up and saw that the airship was still overhead, while the other two warships had taken up positions nearby.
"Henry, send a signal requesting reinforcements."
"Yes, Captain."
Although Henry had no idea why Li Wei was requesting reinforcements now, he still picked up the flare gun and sent the signal. The other two warships quickly drew alongside the Aegis and docked with it. Soon, more than a hundred fully armed soldiers stood before Li Wei.
"Greetings, Sir Li Wei. You requested reinforcements?"
The assault team's captain saluted Li Wei, then looked around the empty deck in confusion. His reaction was understandable. When they heard Li Wei needed reinforcements, everyone had assumed something serious had happened. But now-hadn't nothing happened at all?!
"That's right."
Li Wei nodded, then looked at the other soldiers and spoke.
"We don't have much time, so I'll keep this brief. We're about to fight a group of monsters."
"Monsters?"
The word surprised the soldiers, but they maintained their discipline and did not descend into disorder.
"I need to warn you beforehand. These monsters look extremely strange. Some of you may suffer a mental breakdown just from seeing them, or even lasting psychological trauma-"
At this point, Li Wei felt rather speechless himself. It had been the same during their previous battle against the Alien Monsters. It wasn't as though the creatures couldn't be killed, yet mental breakdowns had accounted for eighty percent of his side's losses.
