General Hao was surprised too when he received the intelligence from the Eye of the Sky. After weighing his options, he finally sent Li Wei a message.
Find out exactly what that Leviathan is. The Cyclops will prepare for battle. Stay in contact.
For Li Wei, this mission was not particularly difficult. The Eye of the Sky had already received a reply from Derrin, informing the Kront Front Legion that the Leviathan would depart immediately and arrive at the frontline base to rendezvous with them in ten hours.
Li Wei soon came up with a plan. He had his crew calculate the Leviathan's flight path from the coordinates they had received, then sent the Eye of the Sky along that route to see whether they could spot it early. Of course, if possible, intercepting it en route would be best.
First, though, he needed to know exactly what the Leviathan was.
Time ticked by.
Li Wei sat in his chair, leisurely sipping black tea, with pastries set beside him. It was time for afternoon tea. He was not the only one enjoying himself; the officers and soldiers who were off duty were also in the dining room, enjoying delicious food and afternoon tea.
Of course, they could relax like this entirely because of Li Wei's requirements for the Eye of the Sky. Not only did it carry a set of the latest kitchen equipment produced in Ilyss, it even had a refrigerator and an oven. Besides, the Eye of the Sky had a small crew and did not consume much food.
Still, he had to admit that leisurely sipping tea and eating pastries eight thousand meters in the air, gazing through the porthole at an endless sea of clouds bathed in the sunset's crimson glow, was truly a first-class pleasure.
