Dr. Tester had certainly given Li Wei a pleasant surprise. As someone who had lived in the electrical age himself, Li Wei naturally hoped this world could become more like the one he knew. On the other hand, he also knew that, at the end of the day, the two worlds were still different.
As mentioned before, this world had an absurd fuel called coal essence. A small piece could keep a large Mecha running for an entire day, and that was with steam power still failing to tap its full potential. With a steam-powered generator, Li Wei felt that-he might actually be able to build the kind of Mecha seen in cartoons!
Ultimately, everything humanity had built depended on boiling water. The question was how to boil it. Coal essence contained so much energy, and a generator would only harness more of it. Put that on a Mecha, and wouldn't it be a power system with an energy core that could be replaced at any time?
That was much better than nuclear power, because there was no radiation or pollution! At most, they would have to add a little coal essence and water now and then! The parts previously driven by steam could now be driven entirely by electricity!
And then there was that ore with its astonishing energy density-
Hmm. This really was different from my own world.
So after leaving the Great Salt Lake, Li Wei immediately hurried back to Fog City and found the Old Butler to explain the situation.
Of course, he did not talk about energy ratios and consumption the way Dr. Tester did. Scientists always liked using data, but Li Wei knew the bureaucrats at the top did not care about data. They cared about what this thing could do!
So Li Wei
