Li Wei made another round of preparations before boarding the Eye of the Sky and flying toward the Monastery.

Before setting out, Li Wei had made a point of examining the three bodies. In his experience, horror movies of this sort usually left some trace on the victims. Especially when religion was involved, evil spirits and the like loved leaving marks on corpses, something along the lines of "The killer was Wu Song, the tiger slayer," to announce that "So-and-so was here."

In criminal investigation terms, evil spirits like these were serial killers, and most had a bit of a desire to show off.

Those with a taste for drawing would tattoo an inverted cross or a pentagram on their victims.

Those with literary aspirations would write some cryptic Bible quotation on the victims' bodies.

Simply put, they were terrified that people wouldn't know they had done it.

Unfortunately, this particular "perpetrator" didn't seem to have much of an urge to show off. Li Wei examined every inch of the bodies without finding anything useful.
