Li Wei had seen a photograph of the missing Susie, so he recognized her at a glance.
In the photograph, Susie had looked like a quiet, reserved woman.
Now, however, she looked entirely different.
Like the nuns above, Susie was naked. She knelt on the ground with her head tilted back and her mouth open, reminding Li Wei of a statue spouting water in the middle of a fountain.
Except she wasn't spouting water from her mouth.
Not only that, but Susie's appearance was horrifying.
Her eyes were blood-red, her pupils vertical like a cat's. The skin of her face stretched taut over her skull, giving it an eerie, uneven contour.
Two small horns had also emerged from her forehead.
With [Soul Sight], Li Wei could see even more.
Susie's soul was still white overall, but it was slowly turning red, starting from her head.
A vivid, blood-red.
Whenever blood flowed into Susie's open mouth, Li Wei could see her soul grow a little redder, like a snow-white plaster statue slowly being stained red from the top down. By now, her entire head was crimson. The rest probably wouldn't be far behind.
What exactly was happening here? In all the time since Li Wei had crossed over, this was the first time he had seen anything like it.
Just then, system notifications finally appeared before Li Wei's eyes.

Good. I've found the right target after all.
Looks like there aren't any more clues to find for now.
Li Wei thought for a moment, then stood and left the captain's cabin. He went to the door of Elizabeth's guest cabin and knocked.
The cabin door soon opened, and Elizabeth poked her head out.
"Sir Li Wei? What is it?"
