As it turned out, having assistants really did make things easier.
After recruiting several people into his studio, Li Wei's progress practically leaped forward by the day. Previously, he had needed to do everything himself. Now, he only had to draw the storyboards and rough drafts, then leave the rest to his assistants.
Of course, Li Wei also taught them how to create comics. He wanted to see what kinds of comics people from this world could come up with.
Well, he had to admit... it was very interesting.
First came Borent, the painter Li Wei had met at the Golden Mead Club. Li Wei had always wondered why he insisted on coming here to work as an assistant instead of painting his own works.
Borent gave him a very candid explanation.
Unlike the others, Borent had a promising future in traditional art. After all, he was a young genius who had gained entry to the Golden Mead Club, and his achievements had brought him into the upper ranks of the art world. Once inside, however, he discovered a toxic, chaotic mess.
The masters he had once looked up to revealed sides of themselves he had never known. Young and hotheaded, Borent had clashed with them over certain matters. They told him he could return as long as he swallowed his pride and admitted he was wrong.
But a young man might fight for nothing else and still fight for his pride. Borent would sooner die than bow his head to them.
So he simply parted ways with that crowd and came to Li Wei.
Borent did not explain exactly what had happened, but Li Wei could make a guess from his scattered remarks-well, it probably involved something illegal.
As a gifted painter, Borent had the strongest fundamentals of the
