"Hyaaaaaah!"
Li Wei grabbed the control stick and shoved it forward with a shout. Of course, shouting couldn't give the Night Raven any extra power or bonuses, but... everyone did it, right?
The Night Raven gripped its greatsword and plunged into the enormous, twisting, ruptured head. Everything around it was frozen now. Li Wei could even see that the nearby ground, which had looked soft and muscular before, had frozen solid and shattered. The howling airflow swept the fragments up from the ground, sending them spinning into the endless night sky.
Great swaths of flesh were mercilessly torn apart. Soon, all the flesh covering the monster's enormous face had been swept away, leaving only white bone. Li Wei took advantage of the chaos, piloting the Night Raven into a sword thrust that sliced open the eye bulging high in its socket with perfect precision.
"No!"
Wails and screams of pain rang out. The ground split open, and the enormous humanoid monster, which looked as though it had been buried in a sand pile, raised both hands to grab Li Wei. But Li Wei was clearly faster than the giant. Before its hands could reach him, he piloted the Night Raven straight through the empty eye socket.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
The passage leading inside was difficult to navigate. The fleshy tunnel was packed with tentacles resembling blood vessels, along with swarms of monsters that looked like cells. They blocked Li Wei's path, clearly intent on stopping him from advancing. Naturally, Li Wei wasn't about to stop. Instead, he piloted the Night Raven forward, raised its greatsword, and held it horizontally in front of the machine.
Then the engine began to roar, and the passage of time began to slow.
